Do it for charity! Superhero Run
When and Where
The 2016 Do it for Charity Superhero Run will take place on Sunday 14th May in London’s Regent’s Park. This parkland venue offers a perfect setting for you to enjoy your run on behalf of your chosen charity! Costume collection will be from 9:45am followed by the children’s run at 10.30 and the main event due to start from approximately 11:00am.
How fit do I need to be?
We have thousands of runners taking part in our 5k and 10k runs every year – many of them for the first time! It is therefore perfectly achievable for people of all levels of fitness to take part in this event, but in order to maximise your enjoyment we do recommend you do some training. You can download our sample training plan now and once you book your chosen charity will also be able to give you support too – because even superheroes need a little help and advice sometimes!
Which charity can I run for?
You can run for any one of our fantastic charities listed on our which charity page or you can run for an alternative cause of your choice!
How much do I have to raise?
Your chosen charity will ask you to raise £100. This is easily achievable and both the Do it for Charity Superhero team and your chosen charity will be able to give you lots of help and fundraising ideas.
How much will it cost me?
We simply ask you to pay £25 for adults (£10 for children - 15 and under) on registration which covers everything including a free hero costume, fully-signed route, fantastic fun on the day and a shiny Do it for Charity medal to prove you have taken part!
What kit do I need to bring?
Running is one of those great sports where you won't need lots of expensive equipment. Admittedly running shoes can be costly but they should last for around 500 miles which is 8 months on an average 15 miles/week training schedule. Once again help will be on hand from both Do it for Charity and your chosen charity once you have signed up for the event.
Is there an age restriction?
The main Superhero run is reserved for those who are 8 or over. However we also have a FREE mini run for the under 8’s which will take place just before the main run. Please note all those under 18 will need consent from a parent or guardian.
How do I book my place?
Places are filling up fast and we do limit the number of runners who can take part. Therefore simply click the button below to reserve your place ASAP!
Both male and female Do it for Charity Superhero costumes will be provided for you on the day free of charge, so don’t forget to pick one up! Alternatively you are more than welcome to bring your own costume – all superheroes are welcome!
